Oh Christmas Tree! Oh Christmas Tree!

This past week we "trimmed" our Christmas tree. Normally our tree is filled with ornaments we have collected over the last 4 years of our marriage, but this year we decided to skimp down a bit. Since we're in a rental house and most of our belongings are being stored in the garage, we decided to only get out a few Christmas decorations this time. Regardless of how "skimpy" our tree looks, it's still a tree! We love it just the same. The smell of the pine and the soft glow of the lights make it all worth while.

Virginia is mesmerized by the Christmas tree. She loves to look at the lights of the tree. Thankfully we don't have to deal with her wanting to pull the ornaments off this year! We let Virginia help us decorate the tree this year. She loved the ornament that had the bell inside of it. If it's shiny and makes a noise, she loves it!

beginning to look a lot like Christmas! Well, at least my little nugget is starting to look festive. My house on the other end still looks like it's stuck in October. Oh the joys of having a 5 month old! I wouldn't trade it for any other job in the world.

There's a slight chance of snow flurries in our neck of the woods late this evening and into the morning. Maybe the cool weather and white stuff outside will get me motivated to do a little decorating.
